HELLO-We are still here!
Sorry about the delay in posting. We have been super busy. Scott finished his football season~making the playoffs for the first time in 5 yrs. Pretty impressive for his first full season as head coach. I have to admit that his football field was the best anywhere that I have seen. He sure did put in a lot of time on that field. He would try to make it a family event and we would go to Skipperville to check the status of the field-It paid off though! Congratulations Boys to a very good season!
We have finished Halloween, the fair, our first field trip, and adding to the above information~our first football season with 2 children. That one almost killed me. We loved to support daddy though. Reagan really loves him. Grant really loves all the girls that are there. His favorite is Passy Cane~translation~ Cassie Paine. She is the captain of the cheerleaders.
To avoid medication in our kindergarten adventure, I had an IQ test done on Grant. In short, he did extremely well only missing 2 of the 30 questions. I have to argue that he didn't really miss them though. He was asked what which takes longer to cook in the oven- a cake, cookies, pie or I don't know-he said cookies. They told him "no, its a cake." He stated "well, my momma makes that cake in the microwave oven and it only takes 3 minutes." The second one he missed was Which person was on the earth most recently-Eleanor Roosevelt, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, or Jesus? He said " uh-Jesus-He's still here!" I LOVE IT!
Now~ as for the Halloween pictures, Grant was a mummy that would light up. It was really neat. I had no trouble keeping track of him while we were trick or treating. As for Reagan, she was not so in to the whole dress up thing. Note the STRESSED OUT, clenched teeth, fake smile I am giving in the photo. Just something you have to do for the kids. She didn't like it though and she was not in the outfit long. And, thanks to Uncle Jeff and Alyssa for getting the bee costume for her. It was so cute.
THE FAIR~ Hate it! I don't know why Scott even told Grant it was in town. We could have so not had to go this year. It was probably our last year to get away with it too. I hate the crowd, the rides, the crying, the stalkers asking you to pay $5 to get a 50 cent stuffed animal-which we have! Grant loved the games more than the rides. So, as you can tell, I have been busy with life so I took a minute to catch up.
Congratulations to Alyssa for making the National Honors Society at Hoover High School. I think she is ranked about #12 in her class. So proud of her.
Please keep Mrs. Horne and Uncle Van in your prayers. Mrs. Horne is getting a little better day by day. And Uncle Van had a brain tumor removed Monday and seems to be progressing very well.
