The Strenght of my LOVE.......

NO ONE ELSE will ever know the strength of my LOVE FOR YOU. After all, you're THE ONLY ONE who knows what my HEART sounds like from the inside.

Signs from Above!!!

EVERY time we have something sentimental to go regarding Todd, this happens. It is so touching to see. Now, the details~ When Todd passed away, Alisa was having a rough day on her birthday. It was only a couple of days after he died. She went outside to be alone, looked up, and saw a FULL rainbow. Then, Grant made the remark "Look what Uncle Todd sent us" at the first ballgame Scott had to coach after Todd passed away. A rainbow! It has happened numerous other times as well. I wanted to share the latest. Scott and I were on our way to The Medical Center to give a scholarship in Todd's memory to 2 young women and 2 young men who excelled both athletically and academically. Not only was there a rainbow, It was a DOUBLE rainbow. It was so pretty.

Lindsey's Big Event!!!

I am super excited at the progress my friends and I have made with organizing a charity event for Lindsey Steltenpohl.
We have named the event "Moms with Heart, Meet at the Park". We will meet on June 12th at Kiwanis Park in Dothan. Local people and businesses have been super generous for this super great cause. The Steltenpohl's are such a great family. You can really tell by the way the community has reached out to do whatever they can.
Thanks to EVERYONE!!!!!!
These are just some "rough" examples of what our t-shirts will look like. Please come and be a part of the festivities if you can. We may even get to see Little Miss Lindsey herself if all goes well.

Praying for Lindsey

These will go on the front pocket and on the back of the shirts. The "moms with a heart" will be on the back. The quality of the picture is poor because I had to take a picture of the computer screen. My photo shop program will not let me copy and paste to the blog. But, I was so excited I wanted to show it off. The pinks and teals for the front and back match~They look so different in the pictures!

Organizing a good cause

I have jumped from blog to blog and happened upon an old friend and neighbor from high school. The Steltenpohl's lived near us for a while when we were younger. Josh graduated the year after me, and Jason graduated the year before Jackie.

I know everything happens for a reason. But, upon reading Josh's blog, I was so upset to hear that Jason's daughter has a brain tumor. She is 5 years old. I felt that I must do something. I quickly realized that she is the same age as Grant. It could be me in her shoes. That is a mom's worst fear.

So, along with some of my fellow friends, we are organizing a day of fun for Lindsey. It will be to raise money for Lindsey and her family. I know from being with Mrs. Horne in Birmingham for one week, the expenses add up. We were able to stay with family and it still cost us a lot of money. Going to get something to eat, gas, it just adds up.

Please come and be with us on June 12th from 10-1pm at Kiwanais park on Whatley Drive. I will post more details as we make them official. I do know that Fortner Inflatables have donated a huge jumper and water slide. I hope it goes well. Please try to come. Thanks in advance.

Presents from Colorado

Sick MeMe came to see us after she got back from Colorado. She always brings the kids a decorative lollipop. They love to see her coming. I can't let them see them until I have my camera ready. They go to town. Thanks "sick meme" for always thinking of us. Please tell Chris and Christy to come and visit!

Madeline comes to visit!!!!

We love to have all of our family together. It rarely occurs, because there are so many of us Solomon's, but we do enjoy each others company as much as possible. Family is what it is all about. I know I have said it many times before, but we wish Joel, Allison, Madeline, Alyssa, Jeff, Uncle Van, Aunt Carolyn, Melissa, Emily, Brian, and William lived a little closer. Scott and I both have family in Birmingham. But, if they have to be away, we are glad they have each other there for them.

Now, we enjoyed a day by the pool. Madeline is just like Joel was. She did not particularly like the water. It wasn't until Grant started diving off the diving board that she warmed up. This was Grant's first time "going under" water. He is fearless. He had not done it before because we would not allow him, not because he didn't want to. Madeline wanted to try. We did not force her (it looks like she is walking the plank). We had such a great time.

Mom, we sure do love you. Please take care of yourself, we don't know what we would do without you. You always put yourself last. So unselfish.

AnnaKay Turns 5!!!!!!!

Thanks to AnnaKay for having us at her birthday party. I did not even get a picture of her. AvaClaire did make the photo shoot with her daddy. AnnaKay was on the move. We had a great time. I don't know how I could have managed my 2 alone at a POOL party. They LOVE water. Thanks to their Daddy for making the day more fun. He didn't make the shoot either. But, he sure did not mind. He never gets his picture taken.

We Have A WALKER!!!!!!!!!

Reagan is on the go. It is sad but Brittany, our babysitter, just called me at work and told me she took 6 steps. She was getting brave yesterday, but now it is official. I can't believe my baby can walk. It is so sweet to see her "toddling" around in her little smocked dresses! She looks too little to be walking. So, she walked 2 days before she turned 10 months old. Grant walked the day before his first birthday. I guess she just walked faster because she had him to watch~ or to RUN from! I can't wait to get my hands on her this afternoon! I miss them so much when I am away from them.

Super Star

Do you think she is used to having her picture taken? This is scary!! She is way to good at this.

Reagan is 9 months old!!!!!

I can't believe how time flies. First of all, Thank you to GRANT for helping during my photo shoot. Reagan will smile at him all day long. She is such a sweet little angle~I guess she learns from her brother. I have been so blessed with healthy, happy, wonderful children. I don't take a single day for granted. I hope you enjoy the pictures. I sure did have fun taking them!!!!

So, what is Reagan up to at 9 months of age? She is standing and can take 3 steps on her on. Then, she just dives for you. She can say Momma, DaDa, No No , Bla Bla Bla (which she copies from Grant), waves hello, points and shakes her finger No No, says Nanna(Scott's mom and mine sometimes as well), she has 7 teeth~ 4 on top, and 3 on bottom. That just about sums it up, except for the most famous trick~ providing us with a wonderful sense of joy because she is always happy with a smile on her face.

Preschool Graduation

Grant graduated from Evergreen Presbyterian today. It was so sweet. I cried~unexpectedly. I really didn't think I would be that emotional. Then, they started that "graduation" music, and I saw Grant peeking out from the door. Reagan was waving at Grant on stage, and he was blowing her kisses. It was so sweet. They really love each other. Thanks to Jacob, Presley, MeMe Honey and Jay Austin for coming to support little "G". I can't believe he is going to kindergarten this fall. Grant did tell me that he was ready to go to college now. He said he was going to Auburn. He asked if we could all go together. When the real day comes for that, I hope he still feels that way. He was a little confused because he was wearing blue, and he thought that meant he was going to Auburn now. Then, he told me that he just got a piece of paper and it really wasn't that big of a deal. We have had such a wonderful experience at Evergreen. I hate to see it end. I'm glad Reagan will be going there in the fall. I consider the staff friends! Thanks to all of you for making these first years so wonderful.
