This and That..... Better Late than Never!

I was reviewing the prior post from Reagan's birthday party, and I realized that I had not posted a picture as Grant as PINKALICIOUS!  I didn't want to leave this cute little picture out.  I posted another one of Reagan because it was just so stinkin' cute to me!  One of my most favorite times.... in the summer(because they can sleep late and aren't having to be made to get out of bed) is watching Grant and Reagan wake up and laugh and giggle.  They rarely play well together these days, so I cherish these precious little moments.  I love the look on their faces.  The other photos are to document the fact that both of my children (Reagan featured in this photo) love to be "almost" naked "almost" all of the time.  The first thing they do when they walk in our door is take their clothes off.  So funny!!!! I posted the tearful goodbye to Madeline.  We had so much fun with her.  Reagan found it extremely difficult to say good-bye.  And the last photo......... Jackie has created a monster!  I love to sew now.  Scott says that I am in the business of "disposable clothing" because I am afraid to wash them because I don't know if they will survive........... but, I am making progress with my sewing ability, and Reagan almost has an entire new wardrobe.... LIKE IT OR NOT MISSY!!!  Just kidding.  I remember hating my mother making our clothes, and her making us try them on OVER and OVER until she got them just right........ I HAVE BECOME MY MOTHER!!!!! Thanks to Jackie and Mom for helping me learn to sew for my little ones.  Grant has made a request that I make him some UnderArmor.  He will learn too soon that it is NOT COOL for your mom to make your clothing.... until then, I will make my little man any thing he desires!

Birthday Party Details

Reagan's 3rd Birthday Party was so much fun.  Since this is the "scrapbook" for the kids, I want to make sure the details are noted. Jody, Pam, Will, MaryLynn, Grandmother and Granddaddy didn't make the party because MaryLynn was playing in her AllStars baseball game in Auburn, which they won.... in the 7th inning... 4-3.  Great job.  Jay and Marcia didn't get to come this year either.  They were preparing for Marcia's surgery.  She will be having surgery on her back at the Houston Clinic.  Everyone please keep her in your prayers.  She worked well past 9:00 PM at the bank trying to get prepared for the time she will be missing at work.  Jay also had to work.  We sure did miss them.  Jeff was at the beach, but he brought Madeline down so she could be at the party...... thanks Uncle Jeff.  We sure have enjoyed little Miss Madeline.

Now for the picture details.  I painted the "Pinkalicious" poster for the pictures.  Everyone was so impressed.  I DID NOT TRACE IT.  Not many people know this, but our family is quite artistic.  We (or I) rarely have the opportunity to utilize it.  It comes from my mother's side of the family.  She is great at drawing.  Her dad, Eddie, could play ANY instrument he picked up.  He never took a single lesson either.  He could play ANYTHING! Harmonica, piano, organ, guitar, drums, you name it.... he was so talented.  Our family sure has "reaped the benefits" of the natural talent that he passed down to us.  Jay is great at playing the drums,  Joel uses his drawing ability to work as an architect, Jody uses his talent as an engineer, Jackie can draw as well... her bulletin boards at school are fabulous.... she does such GREAT things with her classes.  I just want to make sure Grant and Reagan know that they can DO ANYTHING!!!

One more little detail.... Jackie taught me how to sew!!!  I (with Jackie's assistance) made the outfit that Reagan wore for a few minutes at the party.  I have such a great family!  I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

Rhonda, Nardo, AnnaKay, AvaClaire, and Hudson came to our party celebration.  Granny, Poppa, Colby, Cameron, and Colby's girlfriend Shaylee were there as well.  Alisa was in HAITI on a mission trip.  She was doing dental work on the children of Haiti.  We sure did miss her at the party, but, she was doing such a great thing for others in need. Jackie, Mark, Presley, Jacob, and Madeline were here with us.... and, of coarse GRANT was here.. how would Reagan have managed to open her presents without the help of her "Big Brother"! Honey was at the party helping and making it all come together.  I LOVE MY MOTHER!  I thank God everyday that he blessed me with such an amazing woman as my mom.  She is such a strong woman.

Happy Birthday REAGAN!  We love you so much.

Reagan is 3 ~ That is hard to believe!

I hope you enjoy the pictures below from Reagan's party.  They are out of order, but, you can tell we had a great time.  I will post details tomorrow.  I am so tired! Thanks to all the friends and family that came to celebrate our little girls birthday.

Reagan's 3rd Birthday Party

Madeline looks just like her Daddy in this picture.  He always "surveyed the scene" carefully before entering the pool.  So funny!

Grant and Jake playing on the trampoline

Reagan and Madeline "chalking" on the trampoline
Sweet Presley
Madeline starts to get comfortable and let loose!
Reagan and Madeline enjoying the sunshine and refreshments
Cake time... Reagan LOVED this part.  I made her cake.... she wanted a certain one that she saw on the "puter" and no bakery could do it..... so I pulled out some inspiration (I got from my mom)... and I did not tell my daughter NO.... so I made it!  It turned out better than I thought it would.  She said she wanted a barbie cake after playing a detailed "Pinkalicious" party.  Typical.

Jackie is the BEST sister.  She helped me do all of the party planning.  She also made the gift bags for the kids.  Thanks so much for being the best OLDER~ NOT BIGGER SISTER... HA!HA!HA!

Reagan LOVED the outfit that Jessi gave her
SUPER, SUPER excited about the turtle family that Granny gave her

Dress up time.....

Thank you Jessi for surprising us and coming to the party.  Madison, her friend came with her as well, I just didn't get a picture of her.  Thanks for making time for Reagan on your Saturday night.
Madeline was the best party guest.  She was "attacked" when she entered the door.  Reagan had to show her the birthday cake.

Jacob doesn't mind making a pinkalicious picture!
Granny made it to the party.

A Trip To The Zoo

We decided to take the kids to the zoo for the day.  They had a great time. It was slightly cloudy, but we decided to try it anyway......and in the last pictures, you can see that the rain CAME DOWN!!!!  We finished feeding the giraffes, but we did not get to ride the train. We took shelter in the gift shop.......and ended up spending way to much money.  We are making memories though, so that is priceless!  I love my MONKEYS!   Reagan said that her favorite thing at the zoo was the wolf- and Grant said he liked the tigers.  I love the picture of Reagan in the snake exhibit.  When we were leaving the exhibit, Reagan told the family entering that they needed to be careful in there... and for them not to be scared because they were in cages.  I thank God everyday for the blessings he has given me.  My specific prayer is for God to  keep us all Healthy, Happy, and Content.  I pray this with Grant and Reagan each night, and now they will say it themselves.  It is so sweet to hear them repeat the prayer. And, Grant has began to say his own unique blessing before we eat.  He is growing up so fast.  Oh.... in the picture of the "eagles"- That is Reagan's finger in the photo.  She was adamant about taking some pictures of the animals.  She is such the photographer.
