Bits and Pieces Of Our Busy Little Life

The ballpark takes up a lot of our time these days.  I love being outside in the sunshine with my little monkey's!  Grant looks so handsome in his uniform to me.  Reagan and I are his biggest cheerleaders.  I wish I would have taken a picture of him playing "catcher" this weekend.  He couldn't hardly walk in all that gear! He loved it though.  The umpire couldn't stop laughing at him.  He was so cute.  He gave it all he had!  He would hustle to get the ball, but he had absolutely no idea where it was! Reagan would yell "Go Grant, Get that ball".  She can yell pretty loud for such a little priss- pot!

I also realized that some of my favorite moments happen in our car.  Reagan is such a joy when I pick her up from school.  She loves her teacher, Ms. Donna.  Ms. Donna says Reagan is such a smart little girl.  She really does go "on and on" about how smart she is.  One day, Reagan laughed when she told me that Ms. Donna messed up on their work.  They were learning about the "L" sound and Ms. Donna made them color a picture of a sailboat...... Reagan had completely overlooked the HUGE  LIGHTHOUSE in the front portion of the picture and focused on the sailboat instead.

Another funny story....... One of Reagan's little friends put a piece of pretend bacon in her backpack- in the side pocket.  Well, we got home and Reagan was so upset.  She ran into school Monday morning announcing "I brought home the bacon."  Well, every parent that was in the building DIED laughing.  I told them someone needed to bring it home!!!!!

Take a look at the pictures.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed the moment they occurred!  I love my life.  I am totally exhausted, hopelessly unorganized, drastically UN-fashionable, BUT..... I wouldn't change a thing!!!!
                                                          Good Lookin' Baseball Man!
Grant's #1 FAN!  Okay~ I'm talking about Reagan, not the battery powered "fan" that caused a fight at the park!!! HA! HA! HA!
                                                            Warm up time with Daddy

Reagan giving me the details of the day...... after running the show at Evergreen!
Reagan singing "You are My Shun-Shine" to her baby.  This poor doll has to stay in my car all day in Reagan's carseat- per Reagan's orders..... You can imagine the drama that causes in the parking lot of my school.  I have only left this doll one day.  I was told that it scared some people that walked by- they thought it was real.  I didn't even think about that!  I guess I am just in too big of a rush to realize the REALITY of how this may look to others who don't live in my world!
Reagan playing her "tan-and- green" after I corrected her it became "tan-ja-lean"
Sweet sugar before we part ways every morning.  One with Daddy, and one with Mommy.  I love these babies!!!!

Time sure does fly, but they have always loved each other! I hope they are always this close!

And this has to be one of my favorite pictures EVER!  My sweet little man making sure he says his prayers, even when he is exhausted.  He fell asleep and I had to make sure he wasn't just praying a really long time. You know sometimes we have to ask for forgiveness for what we have done that day! Just kidding!

Photo Fabulous......No, I don't think so!

This morning before heading off to school, I attempted to take some pictures of my children.  It is such a JOB to get a good picture.  Well, I don't know how I feel about having a 2nd grader!  Grant is getting so big...so fast!  I just gave up on the "perfect picture". So, you get the below end result.  I love being Grant and Reagan's mother.  They keep me laughing constantly.  Thanks to all of my family for calling and checking on their official first day of school.  Uncle Jeff, Honey, and Poppa always call for an update.  I thank God every day for allowing me to have Grant and Reagan in my life.  It is such a blessing.  I don't take for granted a single day how blessed I am having healthy, happy children.  So, here we go 2012-2013 school year.  I hope that Mrs. Enfinger is prepared for Grant, and Ms. Donna is ready for Reagan.  Teachers are special people.  I don't know how they do the job they do!

Madeline Turns 5!

It is hard to believe that Madeline is 5! We sure did have fun at her party.  Reagan loved all of the pink girl things featured at the party.  She is into all things PINK!  I thought this phase would have ended by now. I will now FEATURE a couple of Grant's funny sayings for the week....... Notice the cute face painter in the photo below.  When she asked Grant what he wanted her to paint on his face, he stated......... "Your Phone number". I got HOT ALL OVER!!!!!  What am I going to do with this child?  He also got upset when I left to go to a "FUNDRAISER" with "Uncle Jeff".  He told me that he wanted to go with me.  I told him that it wouldn't be fun for him, and he states " Well then why do they call it a FUN RAISER?"  "I know how to raise the FUN."  Boy does he!  He keeps me laughing.  We went to meet his teacher Thursday night.  She is young and cute.  I told her that I was going to take a BEFORE AND AFTER picture of her.  She just laughed.  She doesn't know what this year has in store for her.  Please put Scott and I on your prayer list~ and Mrs. Enfinger!!!!  Happy Parenting to ALL!!!  No one can EVER prepare you for this journey.  But it is a trip that I wouldn't miss for the WORLD! OH.. note the expression on Mary's face in the last picture.  This is the affect my children have on other youngsters!  She is the sweetest child.  Happy Birthday Madeline!

End of Summer Trip

We decided to take a trip to the beach before we had to go back to school.  We left and went on Friday the August 3rd.  I am just late getting this on the blog.  We are so blessed that "Uncle Jeff" lets us use his beach house EVERY TIME WE ASK!!!  The kids enjoyed Wonder Works  AKA the  "Upside Down House" by the Horne kids.  Reagan is featured as a mermaid on the beach.  Scott "perfected" his side of her tail.  We did it together, but featured below, he swears that the left side is waaaaaayyyyy better than the right side.  Grant didn't make it into many photos this time, he rarely slows down long enough to get in a picture. He has more important things to do than pose for me.  I am also losing my "cool factor" with him.  He tells me what I should and shouldn't wear, and sometimes makes me aware of the fact that I am embarrassing him.  WOW!  I didn't know this would happen so quickly.  I love Reagan's cute little cheeks in the impression below.  I don't even want to think about how unsanitary this was!  Oh well...... she had fun!

New Hobby equals New Wardrobe

Jeff and Alyssa can't believe that I have learned to sew.  I told him that I made Reagan a top from 2 of his old shirts that he gave Scott, and he wanted proof.  I have been copying the brand "Matilda Jane".  Jackie isn't crazy about it, but I love it!  It is a little different.  So........ enjoy the pictures, but don't look too close.... you will see that I am LEARNING TO SEW!

The top above is the one that I made from the 2 shirts that "Uncle Jeff" gave us.  It is one of my favorites!
Jackie helped me ALOT with this cupcake outfit.  It was the first thing I attempted to sew.  She really did it.
Copy of a Matilda Jane dress that I saw online. You either like this brand or you don't,  there isn't any "in between"
Jackie helped me put the "R" on the top, but I made the pants entirely on my own.  This is the 2nd thing that I made.  It is like a sewing sweatshop at my house, but I am the only worker....... I am addicted!!

NO FEAR.... The EYE EXAM!

I remember as a child being terrified when my mom took me to the eye doctor the first time, and I think I was in the 2nd grade.  Well, NOT MY CHILDREN!  Grant, as you all know, got glasses when he was almost 3.  So, as a precautionary measure, we scheduled Reagan an exam to have her eyes examined.  Grant went first to show her how things were done.  Reagan didn't need ANY instruction...... she was READY TO GO!!!!  The staff gave them eyeball stickers as their reward..... AND LOOK AT MY CHILDREN!!!!  The entire waiting area was highly entertained by my two.  They were very well behaved, REALLY, and several adults waiting for their exam even made mention of the way they behaved so well.  We were at the office for almost 3 hours (we had to have their eyes dilated), so I was very pleased with their behavior.  Of coarse, my two kept everyone laughing.  They are quite entertaining!
