Funny Stories

Well~ I just wanted to let you all know the latest things my children have done that crack me up. I have been advised to write them down so that I will remember it. So, here it goes........

Reagan is so silly. She is going to be like her brother Grant. She has a "healthy and well deserved" fear of him. It bothers Grant, and he always corrects her, but she no longer calls him "Bubba"( which I did'nt like anyway) She calls him "Uh-ohh" I guess she thinks she is going to fall or he will push her over. He usually never lets her down. But, he does not like being called that.

So, moving on to Grant. He never fails us. He keeps us laughing. Last week when we were in Birmingham, Alyssa was laughing so loud that she snorted. Grant said "Oh momma, Alyssa SNORKLED." Well, that lead to more snorkles. Also, I just want to document some of his earlier funny sayings. He used to call the microwave the monkey~wave, he calls all of his grandparents MeMe but with a more specific detail: like; my mom is MeMe Honey, Scott's mom is MeMe with the Poppa(my mom has no poppa), Old MeMe(Scott's g-ma), and Sick MeMe. SOOO funny.

Now, some delicate(probably inappropriate)stories that I want to make sure Grant knows he said that really embarrassed me. He asked me, very loudly(the lady heard him and died laughing), why that lady had a hiney on her neck~ Momma, you don't have one. He was referring to her clevage. Then, when Reagan was born, he thought that her hiney was broken off. He was concerned. I told him girls have one type of hiney, and boys have another kind of hiney. Then, minutes later after much thought, he said "Momma, God is so funny, he gave girls a big hiney in the back, and a teeny, tiny hiney in the front." I realized what he meant, and it cracked me up. I wish I could remember all of these. There has been too many to write. But, I am going to try and do better.

Fighfighters and Ice cream

We went to Baskin Robbins and had ice cream with our local firemen. They were having a fund raiser to raise money for educational information to give to children to inform them on fire safety. Such a good cause. When we got home, Grant went through the house checking out everything. Reagan was not interested in the fire truck. She wanted the FIRE MEN!!!! So funny. They had so much fun. Reagan felt safe in MeMe's arms(Mark's mom), then, she moved on to her "Uncle Mark". She loves MEN! My mom, Honey, entertained Reagan because there was a long line of children waiting for their ice cream. I had lots of help. We would not have been able to go without them.

Fun with the Family

Jacob, Presley, Grant, and Reagan play together so well. They enjoyed all of the new toys that Uncle Jeff bought them. Presley is such a "little momma". We all think it is so funny to watch Reagan crawl. She looks like a baboon.
Now, in the other picture you can see Brittany and "T". Brittany is the God send that has been able to keep Reagan while Mrs. Horne is getting well. "T" is her boyfriend. One day, Grant was begging to stay home with Brit and Reagan. I told him no. He said "Momma please let me stay home with Daddy's girlfriend. I will be good." I told him that was the babysitter, not daddy's girlfriend. He quickly replied "Momma, your just jealous." Where do they come up with this stuff. Needless to say, he really had no chances of staying after that comment.

A son's love

While Scott was outside planting our grass~AGAIN~ Grant brought me a beautiful bouquet of "ragweed". He was so proud. We put it in a vase and displayed it on the dining room table. He got into a little trouble later that night, and he said "Member those plants I gave you momma, that sure was nice of me." Just like a man. He wanted to use his good deed for his own benefit!!! I sure do love him though!

Nothing Like Family

Even though it was a rough and busy week in Birmingham, we did manage to squeeze in some fun! Grant and Madeline enjoyed passing the time watching the ipod while waiting to eat at the Cheese Cake Factory. Madeline is so tiny. Reagan weighs more than she does. It was so good to get to visit. We went to the Vulcan, but, we did not take a camera. Grant really enjoyed it. Reagan liked watching Grant run down the hill. She thinks it is hillarious when he acts like he is going to "get" her.

Thank you Alyssa

I don't want to leave Alyssa out. As you can tell from the pictures, Alyssa was a lot of help. We would not have been able to go and do in Birmingham without her help. She also allowed me to get 2 GREAT nights rest by letting Reagan sleep with her. It was much needed. So, thanks Alyssa for all you did for us!!! WE LOVE YOU!

Special Thanks to "UNCLE JEFF"

It would not have been possible for me to stay and be with my husband in Birmingham without the help I received from Jeff. He has had company for an entire WEEK. And we all know that it is nice to have family visit, but it is also a JOB! Not to mention that I have 2 little ones with me. I could not have left them at home.
Jeff cooks for us, allows us to use his car(which we feel like movie stars in), and he makes sure we are comfortable in his home. He goes way out of his way to make us feel at home in his house.
I have been blessed to have such a wonderful family to lean on. Coming from a big family has turned out to be so nice. I can call or ask any member of my family to do something for me, and they do it without hesitation. But, with Jeff, I don't even have to ask. It is done before I can get it out of my mouth. He loves to help other people and see them happy. He is a lot like our mother in the fact that he likes to make sure everyone else is taken care of first.
I just want to thank Jeff for everything. He cooked, cleaned, entertained children, took us around town, and bought the kids toys. Grant got 3 huge dinosaurs, and a bear skin rug for his cowboy room. It has a big bear head with FIERCE teeth. And it growls at you. It will be perfect in his room! And Reagan got a new Leap Frog Spin and Sing to help her learn her ABC's. He also got her a little pink rocking horse that plays music.
Thanks "UNCLE JEFF" for being such a wonderful big brother (more like Dad), and a great UNCLE!

Good News Update!

Mrs. Horne has been sitting up in a chair, they took out her NG (nasogastric) tube, and she is on the "REAGAN DIET"~well, that is what Scott calls it! It consist of jello, apple juice, and various other bland items! We are so proud that she is getting better.

Thanks to Joel, Allison, and Madeline for the bouquet of daiseys. And thanks also to The Watson family from Skipperville for the floral arrangement and the balloon. The balloon offered hours of entertainment for Reagan and Grant. Reagan was happy to just watch it and gently touch it with her tiny little fingers. Grant then made use of it as a punching bag. It ended up on the ceiling of the room and all adults acting as though we could not reach it!

Again, I want to thank everyone for your calls, prayers, and concerns. It truely helps Mrs. Horne when we tell her who called, asked about her, or said that we are in their prayers. It is amazing what good friends, family and faith can do for a person.

My little scientist

Grant was in "HEAVEN" at the McWane Center. He calls it the Cuwain center. We laughed at him when he did the weather forecast because he was wearing a green shirt, so it looked like he only had a head and arms. Reagan enjoyed the trip as well. I think Alyssa had almost as much fun as the other two kids. You can tell by the pictures that Grant did not want to leave. He sure does like science. I am so glad!!!!
