The Strenght of my LOVE.......

NO ONE ELSE will ever know the strength of my LOVE FOR YOU. After all, you're THE ONLY ONE who knows what my HEART sounds like from the inside.

A little of this and that

Presley and Reagan love to play together at the ballpark. I noticed as the two girls stood together, that history would probably repeat itself. You see, Jackie and I were the same way. Jackie was always extremely small. I was asked "Did you eat your sister's food" That was HORRIBLE! So, let me inform everyone ONE LAST TIME... I AM THE NORMAL ONE and JACKIE was the one that was ABNORMAL. She was small for her age. Now, reexamine the photo of our two girls. In this photo, Reagan is 2( will be 3 in 3 months) and Presley is 6! That's right people. So, when you see these two girls out together, Please don't ask Reagan if she eats Presley's food. I know how it feels, and it's no fun! Just kidding! Jackie and I are BEST FRIENDS, and I can only PRAY that our girls will have the same relationship. Grant has decided that he is letting his hair grow out. It is not fun to deal with in the mornings. He wants a "flip" when he wears his baseball hat. He is pictured below in our bed, eating a taco at 9:45 pm. I just wanted to make sure all details were documented. This is one more photo to document Reagan's new obsession with her Daddy. She loves her Daddy. If she hears his keys rattle, she is up in NO TIME FLAT! She says " Don't leab me Daddy." It is so funny! She thinks if she has her panties on that all is good in the world of traveling outside the house. One more Horne that prefers as few items of clothing as possible...... THE OTHER WOULD BE GRANT!!! NOT ME!! HA! HA! HA!Just wanted to make sure that was clear. The other picture is of Reagan's first "REAL" injury. She fell off of the swing at daycare and scratched her chin. I have to say that she is still so stinkin' cute to me though!

One Hyper HORNE

Grant is so funny on the baseball field. He LOVES IT! He can hardly control his excitement. I know the pictures on this blog are not very clear( I just always take them with my cell phone), but it is so funny to look at the pictures on my phone. When you scroll from picture to picture, it looks like Grant is dancing. He just can't stand still! I love this little monkey! So, how do we reward this behavior? Well, we give the little fella the "game ball" and a red velvet cupcake with lots of icing. Let me explain.... Grant had a GREAT game, so the coaches voted that he get the "game ball", and it was a fellow players birthday, so she brought cupcakes. I had NOTHING to do with it!

A day at the park

Over Spring Break we spent a lot of time with Honey, Jake, Presley, and "Aunt Key". We went to the park one day, and the other days we did our favorite thing..... EAT OUT!

Beach Trip

After Reagan's dance recital, we took a short trip to the beach. Thanks to Uncle Jeff for letting us use the beach house. We sure did have fun!

Dance Recital Drama

Well, after much preparation, hours of practice at school with Ms. Alli, and proper dance attire, Reagan managed to ruin the entire dance recital ALL BY HERSELF!!! It was funny though. When Reagan walked out on stage with the entire class, she scanned the crowd.... wait for it.... wait for it...... DADDY! There's my DADDY, Bella- Look, there's my DADDY. You see him? He's right over there. Hey DADDY! Okay, it's no use Ms. Alli. The party is over and it never even got started. Ms. Alli did as good of a job as possible. Bella wasn't the only one that was made aware of the fact that Reagan's daddy was at the recital. She made sure EVERY dancer was aware of this. One mom came up to me afterwards and jokingly said... Okay Janice, I want my money back for all of the dance classes we paid for. Reagan wouldn't exit the stage either. As you can see, she went straight to DADDY. Wanda, the director of the facility, made an announcement in front of the entire crowd for the MOTHER of Reagan Horne to please come and get her up front. Reagan was in her arms when she made the announcement and you could hear her laugh a little and say.... " hee..hee...hee.. I want my DADDY." I wouldn't trade that memory for anything.

Grant's new "grown-up" room

Grant wanted a "grown-up" room. No pottery barn bedding allowed by the boss-man! So, off to Target we went. We settled on the curtains in the pictures below. He didn't want anything resembling a baby. He said he wanted something that Jake or Colby would like. I think Marcia may have rubbed off A LITTLE on me. One can only hope. I will be getting her opinion and making the necessary changes. Grant didn't want much of anything in his new space. He wanted plenty of room to play his video games. Now, for the budget details...... we got the bed from Uncle Jeff and Alyssa, Mrs. Horne is responsible for the beautiful dresser with the TV on it and the side table by the bunk bed with the "skylander" figures on it, and Jay and Marcia gave us the old school desk that Grant uses for his computer station. Thanks to EVERYONE!

Home Renovation by Marcia

Okay, so, where do I start? I had discussed a budget with Scott and we agreed on a "range" for our "re-do", but then enters Marcia, my sister-in-law. I have always LOVED how Marcia renovates all kinds of things. I would compare her to my mother and say that she is like "McGyver"- the guy on television that could make a clock out of a piece of poster board- Ha!Ha!Ha! Marcia and Mom have obviously had lots of experience with working on a budget. So, I called Marcia and asked her to come and help me make my home feel more "grown-up". Well, she did WAY more than I could have EVER imagined. I took all of my furniture out of my house, and I had NO intentions on bringing it back inside. That was what the money in the budget was going to be for. But,she talked me into just letting her move it and re-arrange it, and I LOVE IT! Jay came along and helped paint items and do heavy lifting. Scott took a trip to Nashville for a sports clinic, so he walked in to a huge surprise. I think he may have left because he didn't want to witness the damage he thought I was going to do.... but, as I have gotten older, I have realized some of my faults, so I called the necessary family members for their help. Marcia is such a blessing to our family. She loves my niece and nephew like they are her own, and we LOVE HER and JESSI so much too! So, thanks so much Jay and Marcia for spending your Saturday remodeling my home. I LOVE IT! And, not to forget, MOM..... she was around to help with the remodeling and, the most difficult job of watching the CHILDREN! They loved the chaos, and were a little to0 eager to give their input during the process. So, thanks to MOM too. And, one small, but very important detail..... REAGAN didn't have a nap, so that may put things into perspective as to just how much help Mom was as well.

There are 2 photos of my dining room, but one is really dark (both are actually dark) and you can't see the china cabinet with the dish display.... it looks a lot better in person. Thanks again Jay, Marcia, and Mom!

Budget Breakdown...... Marcia saved me all of my money!!!! She didn't need anything. She used all of my old things. All I spent money on was the pink paint for Reagan's room and a few new lamps and pillows. That made for one happy husband!

Just a few more pictures from Easter

After looking at the prior post, I noticed that I needed to add a couple of pictures. I hope I got a picture of everyone! I love love love how little Reagan's hand looks on Colby's chest! And speaking of "little" look how small Jackie looks standing next to Scott.

Easter 2012

I love Easter! We had so much fun. I posted a TON of pictures. I hope I got a "shot" of everyone that was at Mom's house, but I doubt I did. I love all the little details like how Reagan is upset when she sees the mess the Easter Bunny left, how Grant's glasses are on the tip of his nose when he is holding Jake's rabbit (by the way, look at those BLUE EYES), how my dress could use ANOTHER safety pin (HA! HA! HA!), and how Cameron had his eyes closed in ALL of the pictures of the family (I posted it anyway). My babies are getting SOOOO big. I made a mental note that in future pictures I should hold Reagan, and Scott should hold Grant~but, it is true..... boys belong to their mom's and little girls LOVE their dad. BUT- Reagan does want me at night!!! Reagan was attached to Uncle Jeff like glue this week-end. She loved riding the horses with Alyssa. Jeff let her drive the jeep in the pasture... she thought she was big stuff. We made the most of the holiday... we sure did miss Uncle Todd and Nanna. Nannie(Scott's grandmother) went with us to my mom's house to watch the annual egg hunt and baseball game. I think it was a nice distraction for her. My family is the BEST!!!! I love how EVERYONE comes together. Jackie and her "in-laws" come, me and my "in-laws", Jody and his "in-laws" and so on and so on- WE HAVE A HUGE EASTER. I bet there was over 30 people at my mom's house! SO MUCH FUN. AND~ I hate the term "in-laws", because they are all FAMILY!!!!! Even "Uncle Billy" made it to our house. We sure did enjoy ourselves. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did. Enjoy the pictures!
