Happy Holidays!
Well, I just want to update a little while Reagan is napping, and Grant is with MeMe Honey. I missed Thanksgiving TOTALLY! I guess being a school nurse has some negative aspects. I had a severe stomach virus. Thank the Lord no one else got it. I called mom and she came to the rescue AGAIN. She is what I want to be when I grow up!!
We are beginning our own family traditions. We have an ELF on the Shelf. This is our second year with "Rocky". Jake and Presley's is named "Jingles". CUTE! If you have not got the book, please do~especially if you have small children. Rocky comes during Christmas and reports to Santa nightly. He will tell him how you acted that day, and any special request you have.
Of coarse, he has worried Grant CRAZY! He is obsessed with him. He goes near him, because he thinks he has to so Rocky can see him, and he begins cleaning and straightening up and putting toys away. He is so funny.
Another tradition we are going to continue this year is adopting an angle from the angle tree. Grant does not quite understand. He doesn't know why some children don't get toys from Santa. After some thinking, Grant states: Oh, Momma, I know~some kids don't have an elf on the shelf because they don't have any shelfs. And, if they are poor, their elf might not be able to fly and have to walk. That's why they might not get toys because Santa lives far away.
I love being a mom!!! I thank the Lord daily for all my many, many blessings~Especially FAMILY!
