Thanksgiving and Family

So we start this post off with random pictures of my children......please note how they are frequently without clothing, or partially clothed.  It doesn't matter how cold it is in our house, they would rather be naked and get into a "fuzzy blanket".  I fear the knock at the door, or the ringing of the doorbell.  And, when Colby just comes right in....... HEART ATTACK!!!!  Reagan has "up'd the trash factor" with tattoos on both arms.  My children lack NO SELF CONFIDENCE!!!! LOVE THEM!!!!

We have below pictures of our Thanksgiving break from school and work.  We managed to fit in a Tuesday night dance party (thank you Colby for attending~not participating), a visit to see Santa, decorating our home for Christmas, cooking Thanksgiving lunch,  going to my mom's for lunch (Reagan is featured with her sunglasses on going to mom's house), visiting with all of our family~ Grant and Mary look so cute together.  Grant LOVES HIS MARY MORGAN!!!!!

Leah is pictured with a HUGE SMILE holding my shirt.  Let me explain.... she wrecked the dirt bike at mom's house.  She seemed to find the humor in all of it.  We can laugh now, but it scared us to death!!!!  I told her that she may not have gotten hurt (too bad) on the bike, but I was going to "whip her tail" for ripping my shirt.  They make fun of my "homemade" clothes.  It was cute though.  Thank you God for keeping her safe.  Moving on to the other pictures, we have other family pictures, Reagan put Aubie in time-out for not playing football good, a random picture of Reagan's LONG, LONG, curly hair, eating lunch at "Momma Goldberg's" with family, and then.............  THE ARRIVAL OF ROCKY!!!!!! He is our elf on the shelf.  Now, most children LOVE this event. NOT MINE.  They think he is a tattle tale.  They don't like the fact that he reports their every move to Santa.  TOO FUNNY!!! Grant asked "Rocky" to please tell him how old he was, so the next morning, he has placed Grant's "skylanders" in the form of the #'s 73.  Grant LOVED THIS.  However, he had several questions like.....how did he open the drawer? How did he close the drawer?  Where is the sticker that Reagan left for him? He is so observant.  He has such a curious mind to be 7 years old.  This years wish list for the kids are listed below.

GRANT:   skylander giant toys, a skateboard (not going to happen), a nerf gun with a target, a FOUR WHEELER,  XBox 360 kinect, iphone (VERY FUNNY), a tazer for Reagan (ha haha ha), and an ipad

REAGAN:  A doggie

"A Doggie" is all Reagan will say that she wants for Christmas.  I have a feeling that we are going to have one sad little sister on Christmas morning.

I take after my Mother

So, one of my favorite things to do is to go to garage sales.  I used to HATE it when my mom would make us go with her on Saturday mornings.  So now, it is my turn to do the same with my little guys.  My two don't mind going right now though.  I guess they may not want to go in a few years, but now, they will wake me up to go.  So, below you will see the PLAYHOUSE that we found at our Saturday venture for ........get ready people....... $75.  It retails for $589.  The family was moving and just didn't want to have to move it.  Reagan also got some beautiful princess shoes that she has been sporting ever since we got them.  I think we may end up having to pay for a broken ankle.  Reagan has a very, very strong passion for her fashion attire.  She is a total NIGHTMARE to dress daily.  It has to be a dress that will "spin" when she twirls, It has to be a certain length, and she wants to wear pink EVERY DAY.  The pictures speak for themselves.
I want to include some famous "sayings" that my children have came up with.  When I am getting on to Grant, Reagan has to put her "two cents" in.  She says "Grant, it you don't be good, you will have to live with the YO-HO's"  In translation, Yo-ho's means "HOBO's".  We were also looking and talking about animals, and Reagan got confused, but never changed her mind that a Rooster is called a "bark-a-doodle-do".  We had been discussing dogs, roosters, and numerous other animals.  Too much for a three year old's brain to process.

The National Peanut Festival Parade

We all took a little trip to the parade.  We try to attend every year.  Presley was sooooo scared that she may see a clown or a mascot with a "really big head".  Reagan yelled "hey horsey" OVER AND OVER.  She yelled at every person and thing that went by.  Grant and Jake seemed less than impressed, but it is a tradition, and we will continue to drag the boys with us each year!!!!

"Real Reagan"

Below you will see Reagan's daily report sheet.  Note the numerous "straight faces" marked by Ms. Donna. In picture #2, Reagan is discussing how it was not her fault, and she did not want to talk about this.  When we arrived home, Reagan hid the paper under her bed ( I don't care if you see the dirt under her bed, these are real posts, and I do not pretend to have a perfectly clean home IT IS REAL!!!! SO FUNNY), Then, the final step in Reagan's process was to take a new piece of paper, draw numerous "smiley faces", and say "here mommy, here are the smiley faces you wanted."  What am I going to do with this girl?

Peanut Festival Fun

We sure did have a good time at the National Peanut Festival.  Grant, Reagan, Jake, and Presley rode the rides, and enjoyed all of the good food. Jake is getting so mature.  I could not believe it when he went "walking around" with his friends.  I thought Jackie was going to DIE!!!!! It is so hard to watch our babies get so big so fast!!! Jake has a beautiful girlfriend.  I can not hardly get my mind around this!! I love having family so close.  I am really blessed to have older brothers and sisters to guide me in the path of parenthood. Things sure have changed from when we were young.  Facebook, cell phones....... I am going to need lots and lots of help!!!

A trip to the zoo

We took a trip to the zoo with some of our favorite people.  Reagan and Anzley have so much fun together.  I love the picture of Reagan attempting to go up the rope ladder beside Grant.  Ahhhh... true emotion.  I believe in capturing the REAL moments in our life.  Grant was glad that Tyler came along and brought his pretty girlfriend.  Mrs. Johnnie and Mr. Tim are so much fun to do things with.  We sure did have a good time.

Happy Halloween

This year, Reagan decided to dress up as "Little Beau Peep", and Grant dressed up as "Willie" from Duck Dynasty.  Jake was kind enough to dress up as "Jace" from Duck Dynasty like Grant asked him to.  Presley was a "good witch" and MaryLynn dressed up as a scary old lady.  We all had so much fun!!! I love this time of year.
